Mitt kök culinary exhibition sets yet another record

This year's Mitt kök culinary exhibition broke several records; it was larger than ever before, with more competitions, and more exhibitors, journalists, visitors and personalities from the food and beverage world. A total of 36,880 'foodies' visited the exhibition.

Mitt kök, the Nordic region's biggest public exhibition for food, beverages and kitchen equipment, was held for the 13th time at Stockholmsmässan over the weekend. Visitor numbers for this year were up 5,752 on 2010. That's an increase of 16 %.

"These figures confirm that interest in food and drink is still on the rise. Our efforts have also been well received. Among other things, we opened for an additional day where the focus was on Sweden as a culinary nation and we unveiled a new champagne bar. Organised events were attended by more chefs, authors and other personalities from the food and beverage world than ever before. The new partnership with the TV4 Group has provided plenty of inspiration and we look forward to developing this relationship further," says Daniel Fritzdorf, Project Manager for Mitt kök.

The Kockarnas Krog restaurant, run by seven of Sweden's best chefs, also set a new record, serving just over 2,600 meals.

The exhibition continues to arouse interest among the press and media. This year, 445 media representatives were accredited, compared with 379 in 2010.

The Scandinavian Boat Show, the Health, Wellbeing and Fitness Fair, and the new Winter Show also took place at Stockholmsmässan over the weekend. Between them, the four exhibitions attracted 71,111 visitors, of which 13,759 chose to visit all four events.
